Leakey ISD provides accident insurance designed to assist parents with medical expenses for students. Coverage is provided by National Guardian Life Insurance Company and coordinated through Student Assurance Services, Inc. The plan is supplemental to all other insurance coverage.

PLEASE NOTE - Leakey ISD is not responsible for your medical payment or bills for your child. All medical charges are your responsibility if your child is injured during any athletic (or UIL) activity or during any school sponsored and supervised activity. The school has purchased a supplemental policy to cover any charges in excess of your own insurance policy. If you have no other insurance for your child, this policy will then pay first or primary. This policy has dollar maximums and benefit limitations. Any charges above the policy benefit limits are your responsibility. Please be aware that this policy by no means was intended to cover all medical bills for your child. Your child’s treatments and medical charges are your responsibility.

Important notice: Texas public school districts are immune for bodily injury to students and the public (except for limited liability for negligent operation and use of a motorized vehicle) as provided in the Texas Tort Claims Act, section 101.001 et seq. of the Texas Civil Practices and Remedies Code.
